Return to the Vow
Before there was real estate. Before there were boardrooms. Before there were decisions made in silence… There was a vow. A vow of obedience, not opportunity. A vow of poverty, not profit. A vow of compassion, not convenience. This page is not a protest.
It’s a call — for every Sister who ever said “yes” to God…to remember what that “yes” really meant.
Poverty. Obedience. Compassion.
These weren’t strategies. They were sacred promises.
• Poverty meant surrendering personal gain
• Obedience meant yielding to God’s will above personal preference
• Compassion meant elevating people over property, and legacy over profit
These were not symbolic ideals — they were lifestyles.
And these vows weren’t made to a community or board.
They were made to God.
